We launched our inaugural Graduate Program in early 2026 - a two-year structured opportunity for recent graduates to gain broad exposure to a Commonwealth Government financier while contributing to infrastructure projects that support northern Australia.
We support projects that deliver public benefit to the north, through new jobs, regional income, business for local suppliers and Indigenous outcomes. Graduates will gain valuable experience and exposure while contributing to work with real regional impact - within a defined, supported program structure.
About the role:
In a NAIF Graduate role, successful applicants will take part in a structured rotational experience based on the 70/20/10 learning model. Over approximately three eight‑month rotations, you’ll work across different teams, each with a documented workplan and clearly defined learning objectives. Depending on the team they are working in, some responsibilities may include:
- Researching, analysis, reporting, and briefings
- Assisting with stakeholder engagement and internal collaboration
- Contributing to operational, HR, legal, or risk and compliance activities
- Applying academic learning to real workplace tasks
- Identifying opportunities to improve processes and ways of working
Graduates are encouraged to be proactive, collaborative, and open to learning throughout the program.
Support throughout the program:
Graduates are supported by a structured network, including a rotation people leader, a buddy, and a mentor, as well as assistance from the wider NAIF, and People & Culture teams. This support is designed to help graduates navigate the workplace, build skills, and make the most of the experience.
